Announcing ESYO's New Artistic Staff

Three new ESYO conductors join the Artistic Team this summer
We are thrilled to announce three new ESYO conductors who will be joining the Artistic Team this summer: Dr. Rob Sanderl will be leading our Chamber Percussion Ensemble, Jim Iacketta will direct our Concertino Percussion Ensemble and Dr. Michael Lister will take charge of our Melodies of Christmas Chorale. All three artists are exceptional musicians and celebrated by the musical community.

Dr. Sanderl earned his DMA at Eastman and has performed and led residencies across the globe. Most recently he was serving as a tenured professor at Radford University in Virginia, before family obligations caused him to move back to our region. In addition to his position with ESYO, Dr. Sanderl will be the interim Director of Percussion at the Crane School of Music.
A graduate of the College of Saint Rose, Mr. Iacketta is the recipient of numerous awards and is an active percussionist in the region. He has more than 2 decades of teaching experience, and is currently an outstanding instrumental teacher in the Stillwater School District.

Dr. Lister is a familiar face to ESYO, not only because of his prodigious musical activities in the region, but as a past member of ESYO's Board of Directors. Dr. Lister holds a Doctor of Arts degree in Choral Conducting at Ball State University, and has led numerous choirs in the midwest, as well as here in the Capital Region. Most recently, Dr. Lister completed a residency with the Saratoga Voices. No stranger to our youth, Dr. Lister has conducted many school music festivals and this past January, led 150 youth in Albany Pro Musica's High School Choral Festival. Dr. Lister is an associate music professor at the University of Albany.
We are delighted to welcome all three to the ESYO Team!
